Handmade Knits

Here I share general information about my knits. I handcraft and hand-finish all products myself.
- Baby Knits
  
  Knit baby clothes make wonderful gifts for baby showers or early birthdays, especially when chosen in matching sets.
  - Lace Baby Bonnet
    This lace baby bonnet has a delicately scalloped edge and gathers at the back. I like using different lace patterns, so your bonnet may vary from those in the photo.
  - Knitted Baby Booties
    These knitted baby booties look like little sneakers, with mock rib cuffs masquerading as striped sport socks. Consider having them done in team colors!
  - Baby Washcloths
    These baby washcloths are knit from pre-washed and preshrunk cotton. They are soft and pure against baby's tender skin.
  - Cow Puppet
    The friendly cow puppet has black eyes and a big, soft nose. The swishy tail keeps the flies away, but the soft horns are just for show.
  - Horse Puppet
    The horse puppet is rich chestnut brown with a black mane. The friendly eyes, pointed ears, and embroidered nostrils give it a definite personality.
  - Pig Puppet
    The pig puppet is downright perky, in a petal pink that isn't at all muddy! The curly tail is fun to play with, too.
  - Sheep Puppet
    The sheep puppet is mild-mannered, as a sheep ought to be. Rose-colored linings in the ears and mouth brighten things up a bit.
  - Knitted Baby Blanket
    This simple design makes an attractive knitted baby blanket, which can take on different looks depending on the colors chosen. I usually knit it in three colors that repeat in the crochet edging.
  - Knitted Baby Poncho
    A knitted baby poncho goes on and off easier than a jacket. It is warm, but not too much so, and does not restrict baby’s movement. The hood will not fall off and get lost!

    Knitted ponchos are great accessories, easy to put on and take off. They are warm and cozy, but not too hot in transitional weather. A poncho is also a lot of fun to wear!

    Classic knitted mittens are always a favorite. They are easy to wear, and can be made to match any of my winter hats and scarves.

    People who don’t like hats can still get cold ears. Knitted headbands are the answer. They are easy to wear and to carry. This simple design is double-layered for extra warmth.

    This crocheted set is in a wonderfully soft yarn blended from acrylic and mohair. The color is a cheerful turquoise.
  - Crochet Hat - Pink Hat
    Made special with a blend of acrylic and mohair yarns. The shell pattern and pink-and-white coloring makes this feminine and very pretty.

      Here are custom Christmas stockings that I've knit with Santa Claus pictures on them. Both full-figure and face only Santa pictures are popular. He usually does best on a green background, but blue is also nice.

  Knit fabrics are very versatile for Household Items. They can be soft for draping, textured for scrubbing, or thick and sturdy for long wear.
  - Knitted Washcloths
    These soft knitted washcloths are 100% cotton, pre-washed and preshrunk. They are extremely absorbent in spite of being so lightweight. The secret is in the waffle texture.
  - Grocery Bag Holder
    This grocery bag holder is a convenient and attractive way to store and recycle your plastic grocery bags or trash bags. With a drawstring at both ends, bags can go in and out either way.
