These knitted baby booties look like little sneakers, with mock rib cuffs masquerading as striped sport socks. Consider having them done in team colors!

Details of Knitted Baby Booties

The baby booties are knitted in an acrylic yarn that can be washed frequently with no signs of wear. It is hypoallergenic and colorfast.

The shoelace is threaded through holes and then stitched down at the top so baby can’t pull it out. All seams are hand-finished, so no amount of tugging will pull them apart.

Uses for Knitted Baby Booties

These cute booties are suitable for boys or girls, and can be made in almost any colors. They add some warmth, but are not terribly heavy, so baby can wear them year-round.

Gift Ideas for Knitted Baby Booties

These booties would be particularly fun in school colors, or holiday colors. They could be made in red with green stripes on the sock for baby’s first Christmas! Or the colors can be chosen to match favorite outfits.
