Christmas stockings have been enjoyed for many generations and in many cultures. A well-made stocking will last for years and collect wonderful memories.

Add a new tradition to your family’s Christmas, or surprise a friend or loved one with a custom stocking designed just for them. I will knit your custom Christmas stockings according to your preferences, using careful finishing techniques and long-wearing materials (more info below photos). I can:

knit from a commercial pattern that you provide;
modify an existing pattern to include pictures and words of your choice;

Prices for Custom Christmas Stockings

I price custom stockings based on design complexity (which affects the time it takes to knit), and materials used. Many people choose acrylic, which is economical and hardwearing. It can also be machine washed and dried. Traditionalists are likely to prefer wool, which will also last for years when handled properly. Wool is somewhat more expensive; it may add $5-$10 to the stocking price.

A custom stocking can range from solids or stripes up to elaborate pictures or textures. I am also happy to personalize with a name. Prices start at $40 for a simple stocking with no extras.

Picture stockings are usually $75 to $90, depending on the complexity of the design. Some added items entail an extra charge, since they add significantly to the time involved. Examples would be a fabric lining, or a large amount of sequins, beads, or bells.
